What to Expect at MCPC

In worship we are drawn into the story of the great and mighty deeds that God has done in history.

For this reason, you can expect to hear and sing the Word of God at MCPC. We sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs from the scriptures, as well as from all of church history — from ancient to contemporary.

“What a lot of children you have!” is a frequent comment at MCPC. While we do provide a nursery for young children, we encourage parents to keep their children with them in the service, since they too are part of God’s covenant people. This means that our worship service will often have a little extra noise! But this is a good reminder that this is simply what God’s family is like — after all, we are often squirming and noisy in our refusal to listen to what our heavenly Father tells us.

You will find a range of dress from casual to formal — and when you think about the fact that worship is both a meeting with our King and a gathering with our Father, this is entirely appropriate.
