Caylor House

“The mission of the Caylor House is to love God and neighbor through providing affordable housing, primarily for singles, in a supportive Christian community, encouraging and empowering its residents to thrive in all aspects of their lives, as they devote themselves to following Christ together.”

The Caylor House Inc. is a ministry of Michiana Covenant Presbyterian Church with the goal of supporting a Christian community by providing housing. Residents of the house agree to a covenant of living designed according to the Ten Commandments.

As of 2021, the Caylor House owns two neighboring properties, and has created a living area in the first as well as begun rehabbing the second. As part of the goal is to provide living space for singles and widows, the second house will be rehabbed to be able to provide rooms for 4-6 residents. The first building serves as both a communal living and gathering area as well as a provision of space for a family and room for 1-2 singles.

Within the space, residents meet regularly for prayer and worship as well as general fellowship during meals and other activities.
