Foreign Missions
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. (19) Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, (20) and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” – Matt. 28:18-20
MCPC’s Missions Committee guides the congregation’s involvement in overseas missions. We organize visits by currently supported missionaries who are on home assignment, make missionaries’ prayer requests known to the congregation, and prayerfully consider missionary candidates who approach the church for financial support. Currently, we contribute significant support to three missionaries and have one family from our own congregation preparing to leave for long-term service in Asia. We are thankful for these opportunities to help fulfill the Great Commission overseas.
Currently Supported Missionaries and Their Ministries Are:
- Will & Judi Traub (MTW) – laboring in Dundee, Scotland, with the Free Church of Scotland, coordinating theological education for MTW in Europe, and apologetic training for Solas–Centre for Public Christianity.
- Jamie & Julia – Ministering In Harm’s Way in a Reformed Church and presbytery
- In Harm’s Way I (MTW)* – Serving in a Reformed seminary and ministering with an Evangelical church in a European country with a specific outreach to a growing minority (visited with us in May ’07)
- In Harm’s Way II (TEAM)* – Planning to serve in Asia using medical development work to preach the Gospel to a minority in word and deed
*These names and the specific geographical areas of their ministry are with held due to the sensitive nature of their work.
